Using the new WiFi Adapter in this room
Turn on your TV/Interactive Screen and make sure the right input is selected (HDMI).
Once the screen starts to switch on – power will start up the display adapter. Please note this may take 30 seconds.
Log on to your computer, you do not need to plug in any cables unless you need power to the laptop
Once logged in to the laptop you should find the TV screen is displaying a message such as shown in the image below:
On your laptop, click and hold down the Windows key and then tap the letter K on your keyboard.
On your laptop on the right hand side of the screen, a bar will appear and search for available devices with which it can connect!
With your mouse select the device you want to connect with, it should only show the one in your room.
The laptop will then connect to your screen after entering a one time code (shown on the TV screen). Once connected you can use the screen as a second screen – in extended mode, or mirror the content on your laptop screen – in duplicate mode.
This menu is accessed by pressing and holding the Windows key and the letter P
Select either Duplicate or Extend
