Just a few points on the surface pro's and fixes to issues you may encounter..

When you arrive in a classroom there will be one USB C cable to plug in to your surface pro (unless additional speakers are installed in which case a 3.5mm stereo jack also needs connecting).  This is attached to a dock which then connects to the screen, network, USB devices.

Once connected, if you are not getting a duplicate image on the TV screen from your surface pro or want an extended desktop then hold down Windows key and press ‘p’ key.  This will give the following options:-

·         PC screen only

·         Duplicate

·         extend

·         second screen only.

Tap the ‘p’ key to cycle through them. (PowerPoint has a tendency to leave you in extended mode once you exit)

Across site we have 5 or 6 different manufacturers of Smart TV in use, some work better with the surface pro’s than others  If you are having difficulty getting anything at all to display on the TV then restarting the surface pro or shutting the TV off and back on again usually solves any issue.

Failing the above, taking the short extension between the dock and the surface pro out and connecting directly to the dock should get you up and running.
